Breathe

Breathe is part of an ongoing series entitled, "Life Cycles," which refers to all living things and its inevitable birth, death and rebirth. The series is inspired by a Japanese aesthetic called "mono no aware," which refers to the pathos of things and encourages us to revere and take note of the beauty of all stages of life, including the beauty of the dying phase. I have used a single fallen leaf to spin off an entire series to address this most human and most universal of passages.
