Wishful Thinking is part of an ongoing series that explores the inevitability of life, death, rebirth entitled, "Life Cycles," and is inspired by a single fallen leaf that I have spun off into a full series of reflections. It is examining the Japanese aesthetic of "mono no aware," which refers to the pathos of all things and encourages us to revere and appreciate the beauty of all stages of life.
